Six months since I opened this page, and I owe you an update — though I'd rather show than tell.

I finished the first draft of Whispering Hope at the end of August.

I'm still sitting with that sentence. After all the years of carrying this story around — Robbie and Hope and Amanda and Garry and a crisis written in the sky — it's on the page now. All of it. Roughly 120,000 words that took me through some of the most creatively intense months of my life, including two where I could barely write at all due to family obligations and still somehow came back and kept going.

It's not finished. A first draft never is. I'm heading out on a cruise this week with a proof copy in my bag, and I intend to spend a good portion of that trip reading through every page with a pen in hand, marking what needs to change, what needs to deepen, what needs to let go. The revision work begins in earnest when I return.

In the meantime, other things are moving. New covers for One Chance, One Moment and For the Love of Mandyare in progress — covers that match the stories these books have always been. The Spanish edition of One Chance, One Momentis finally close to publication. And this website will continue to evolve as I get closer to a release date.

I said in March that the desk was open again. It hasn't closed since.
